You want to fulfill your citizen's duty at the appointed time,
There are many choices to make, some without reason or rhyme.
Needless to say that some of the people you never have met,
so you have to form an opinion from the daily blurbs you get.
It helps if you favored a political party faithfully in the past-
you know their opinion you follow without being asked.
To get a consensus is difficult, not very easily obtained,
should you follow their ads-nothing definite will be gained.
They all claim they will be the one to restore prosperity,
many refer to what their relatives did in long ago posterity.
A well known name, however, does not guarantee a great brain,
it only proves that they expect it to help them on the gravy train.
To make the proper choice is left up to the voter's discretion-
some could care less, for others it becomes a sincere obsession.
To cast your vote is your duty and no matter who you shall name
if things don't go well- you always will know whom to blame.
