What is more watched than the old clock on the wall ?
Should you be late for an important date, it will surely appall.
However, there are two ways to look and to enter your mind:
if you can't wait to finish work-when you are old there is another kind.
Early on, eager to fill each hour, in old age you get easily bored,
in youth never enough time, in old age too much time you can afford.
For us oldsters the hours drag and we are looking for things to do:
the thing on your wrist moves too slow and you are feeling blue.
When you were in school you could not wait for the lesson to end:
you had too much to do, time on playing games you had to spend.
later you stood on a corner eagerly watching for that important date,
waiting for that girl of your dreams : why is she ever so very late ?
Have you figured out how often you scan this old invention ?
Counting the hours for an important meeting can cause apprehension.
But, later on, time has lost its meaning, the years verily do drag:
there is not much fun in old age to watch the clock and nothing to brag !
